Playing games as a family allows the family to feel fun and joy together and clear out any negative feelings. Each time a family game is played, new things can be learned about one another that family members did not know previously. Playing also helps recognize abilities and qualities that family members possess and are strong at. Games are also good for creating memories that will be remembered by the family for a long time to come. Even inside jokes can originate from a family game and be laughed about long after the game has ended. Games bring the families together through affirmative deeds, such as laughs, compliments, high-fives, and hugs. Family games tend to be a cheaper option for family bonding than others, such as going to the movies or out to eat. Plus, they are reusable and can be played as often as the family likes. Although the children or parents may not remember every game that was played as a family, the idea that the family always had fun together is what will stick with the children as they remember their childhood. Fun Religious Travel Games Traveling in the car with the family is a great time to switch the radio off and bond together. For example, the card that reads “Thanks to God expressed before and after meals”, awards a point to the first person to say “Grace!”. These games are guaranteed to have everyone traveling together have a good time and is sure to lead to some gospel discussion.
